Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actress best recognized for her role as House in Fox's the medical thriller House. In a strictly Jewish upbringing the actress was able to move from Wayne into New York City when she was 18 to attend Tisch School of the Arts. The school quickly became a fixture in the scene of clubs in New York. Her performances were so captivating that the local press noticed. Her experience and fame, as well as her own education to write and perform a show called Positive Me. In the following year, she was hired by MTV to host Awake On The Wild Side. When the show ended the actress went on to join the film and television productions. The first time she worked, she was able to get small parts and established herself gradually as an actor.
